VoIP phone
A Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone is an entity used to make telephone calls over the Internet, or to use network wiring within an office to carry telephone conversations to a PBX. VoIP telephones use one of several competing communication standards to send their calls through a network. VoIP is a way of taking the current method of talking (Analog Audio Signals) and adapting them to become digital information that can be transmitted over the IP-based data networks such as private LANs or the Internet. |
